Across more than 40 years, the National Center for Community Self-Help and its affiliates have provided over $11 billion in financing to help more than 168,000 borrowers buy homes, start businesses, and strengthen community resources.
Objectives
Self Help wanted to reduce carbon emissions and offset energy costs with clean energy. Just as importantly, it needed to make sure the new roof warranty stayed intact throughout the solar installation.
Challenges
Because the branch had a new roof, the solar design had to follow the roof manufacturer's requirements closely enough to preserve warranty coverage while still delivering meaningful energy savings and emissions reduction for a public-facing office facility.
